My guess at the Devils' lines to start the season would be: Parise-Zajac-Clarkson Kovalchuk-Zubrus-TEDENBY (he reportedly practiced at RW) Elias-Arnott-Rolston Now that looks better, to me, than stacking six forwards at different positions. I personally like this better, but again, none of this is set in stone.

Contract is worth a total of $19.875 mil, comes with a cap hit of $3.975, does not contain a no-trade or no-movement clause. Overpaying him if you ask me, now the Rangers are $4 Mil over the cap; expect either Redden or Rozsival to be buried in the minors/bought out.

Anyone hoping to see the Devils bring back Bill Guerin for a second stint similar to past returns of Holik, Shanahan, Rolston, et al, will be disappointed. He's on his way to Philly, instead.

The NHL fined the Devils $3 million dollars, a first round draft pick and a third round draft pick. The Devils may elect to have their first round draft pick taken away between 2011 and 2014. As established previously, the fine will not count against the salary cap.
