NHL 2010-11: Predicting The 2011 Playoffs

A few of the predictions are a little bold, but the ending looks good.

If anyone is going to tell them all I'm still alive, it's got to be you, because you've always done it for me. Here we go again. They're trying to kill me before I'm dead. I come to Quebec to spend some time with my family and they say I'm dead. I'm not dead, far (expletive) from it. They've had me dead since June. Tell them I'm alive. Set them straight.

Pat Burns tells Bob McKenzie of TSN that he's decidedly not dead. Please read the whole article by McKenzie - it's one of the best things you can read today.

Pat Burns: ‘I’m not dead’

Thats good to hear that the "turn for the worse" news was wrong.

Johan Hedberg’s New Jersey Devils Mask 2010-2011

Eh, its nothing to creative, It looks like the default Devils mask from NHL11 with moose added. Although i just realized that the moose is in a devil costume, thats kinda funny.

Penn State starting a Division I Hockey Program

Always good to see growth in the collegiate game in the United States. And as a Wisconsin alum, I'm thrilled to see another Big Ten school adding ice hockey to their offerings.

Gulitti: Reports: Pat Burns' health turns for the worse

Per Tom Gulitti, reports indicate that former Canadiens, Leafs, Bruins, and Devils head coach Pat Burns' condition is getting worse in fight against lung cancer. This is definitely sad news; please keep him and his family in your thoughts & prayers.

Board of Governors approve new tiebreaker system

Shootouts wins do not count towards the tiebreaker of two or more teams with the same amount of points. The 1st tiebreaker is GP, then wins (only regulation + overtime).

Report: Former Devil Brian Gionta to be named Montreal Captain

Add Little G to the growing list of Ex-Devils who have become the captain of their new team.... It's a pretty big honor to be the Captain of the Canadiens, some real good company there.

MacLean talks lines, Elias likely to play LW

I know this was on Fire and Ice, but I found it on Sportsnet first, and since they're a reliable source, I chose their article. Anyway, MacLean basically suggested that although this isn't set in stone, he will probably have three elite LW. My guess at the Devils' lines to start the season would be: Parise-Zajac-Clarkson Kovalchuk-Zubrus-TEDENBY (he reportedly practiced at RW) Elias-Arnott-Rolston Now that looks better, to me, than stacking six forwards at different positions. I personally like this better, but again, none of this is set in stone.
