Devils' winning streak hits 10 games: Breaking down why they can't stop winning and if history will be made

With a 5-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night, the New Jersey Devils became the 61st team in NHL history to win at least 10 straight games in a single season. Naturally, the question is starting the get asked: with eight wins between them and the all-time record, can the Devils keep up this torrid pace? The 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins currently hold the record for the most consecutive games won in a regular season with 17. That team was coming off its second straight Stanley Cup and included the likes of Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr and Ron Francis. In the years since the Penguins went on that tear, only a couple of teams have come close to touching that record. The 2012-13 Penguins hit 15 wins before taking a loss The 2016-17 Columbus Blue Jackets got all the way to 16 consecutive wins before having its streak snapped.

Devils Should Be Willing to Move 2nd-Overall Pick for Bruins’ Pastrnak

The New Jersey Devils have the second overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, and general manager (GM) Tom Fitzgerald may use it in a trade to acquire a forward who can end their playoff drought next year. The urgency to take the next step in their rebuild is real, as the team has not won a playoff series since 2012 and has not qualified for the postseason in nine of the last ten seasons. They have a plethora of young talent that will interest GMs of rebuilding franchises, such as Kyle Davidson of the Chicago Blackhawks or Don Sweeney of the Boston Bruins. If I may be of any help to others, I’d personally be thankful to help via what I have learned from here. NFR Match Schedule

Each year Goals for Garrett organizes a night out with the New Jersey Devils as its primary annual fundraiser. Price attacks fallen Palmieri

Chill is beyond the word. Jeff Petry guides Kyle Palmieri into Carey Price. While one may understand Price's frustration, taking multiple shots at a fallen, defenseless Palmieri is beyond acceptable. Especially when Petry continues to pin him down. Price only received two roughing minors. How is he in this game?

Jacob Trouba Requests Trade: Is NJ a Fit?

Per the article, Trouba's request isn't about money; it's because he feels the right side of Winnepeg's defense is loaded and that he is a better fit elsewhere.

As we know, NJ now has a decent hole on the right side. So a few questions come up;

1) Is Trouba a fit on the right side given the players the Devils have (Severson/Santini mainly)?

2) Is it worth the package of picks/prospects/players it would take to trade for him and what would said package be?
