Following a disappointing 2021-22 season, the New Jersey Devils experienced a remarkable turnaround, achieving the greatest point differential in NHL history (48). This exceptional performance propelled them to the playoffs for only the second time in the last 11 years.
Tracking the Devils extremely dim odds of making the playoffs.
Just a quick video I made for Rico. Sorry some of the clips are low quality, I couldn't find any higher quality ones.
Goals for Garrett is hosting their Annual Night Out with the New Jersey Devils fundraising event at the Saturday, 4/8 Devils vs. Islanders game at Prudential Center. Goals for Garrett was founded in 2014 by New Jersey resident Kevin McCormack. Devastated by the loss of his son, Garrett, to bicuspid aortic disease, Kevin wanted to do something that would honor Garrett’s life while helping others. Each year Goals for Garrett organizes a night out with the New Jersey Devils as its primary annual fundraiser. All proceeds benefit Hockey in New Jersey, which inspires youth to develop life skills, succeed academically and create positive relationships through the sport of hockey. Chill is beyond the word. Jeff Petry guides Kyle Palmieri into Carey Price. While one may understand Price's frustration, taking multiple shots at a fallen, defenseless Palmieri is beyond acceptable. Especially when Petry continues to pin him down. Price only received two roughing minors. How is he in this game?
Per the article, Trouba's request isn't about money; it's because he feels the right side of Winnepeg's defense is loaded and that he is a better fit elsewhere.
As we know, NJ now has a decent hole on the right side. So a few questions come up;
1) Is Trouba a fit on the right side given the players the Devils have (Severson/Santini mainly)?
2) Is it worth the package of picks/prospects/players it would take to trade for him and what would said package be?
An April fool's joke? By the Devils? You're yanking my chain, right?
Kyle Palmieri scored a two on one goal assisted by Reid Boucher in the second period. The goal was not nearly enough to make a difference as the Devils fall 6-1. Devils play next this Thursday against the Snarks in San Jose.
Devante Smith-Pelly scores a tap in goal, in front of the net to bring NJ with in one. This tally marks Smith-Pelly's first goal as a Devil.
