Devils in the Details 7/31/2013: Avoiding Arbitration Edition

This is Devils in the Details for July 31, 2013, consisting of a few Devils and hockey-related links around the Internet.

I continue to not be Nate, but here are some hockey-related links to help you get through the day. You'll notice there really isn't much Devils-related since, well, nothing much has actually happened as of Tuesday night.

On Monday, Zach Bogosian got paid. $36 million over seven years is a hefty contract. [TSN]

Arby_18 at Arctic Ice Hockey has the reaction to the latest big contract by the Jets. [Arctic Ice Hockey]

On Tuesday, the Maple Leafs avoided arbitration with Mark Fraser by signing him to a one-year, $1.275 million contract. Yes, Mark Fraser is making seven figures. [TSN]

The Rangers also avoided an arbitration hearing for Mats Zuccarello. He got a one-year, $1.15 million deal. [TSN]

Alexander Edler has been suspended by the IIHF for two games in Sochi for his knee-on-knee hit against Eric Staal in the 2013 World Championships. [TSN]

In terms of an extension, Joe Pavelski got one from San Jose that's worth $30 million over five years. [TSN]
