It was a pretty depressing weekend to be a Devils fan. It all started with an abysmal 1-0 loss to a Flyers team that got pounded 7-0 the night before. Seriously. [Fire and Ice] [Star-Ledger]

Then the Devils lost 4-0 in a lamentable effort against the Wild. [Fire and Ice] [Star-Ledger]

The Devils called up Jon Merrill to help fill a hole created by injuries to Peter Harrold and Anton Volchenkov. Merrill got injured in his third shift and didn't return to the game. Ouch. [Fire and Ice]
