Our Favorite Team will end their first proper road trip of the 2022-23 season in the other major city of Alberta. Calgary. It will be a tall order for Our Favorite Team to leave with points, but they are hot and if there is a time to do it, it is tonight. The next time they will play this opponent will happen in short order - as in three days, in fact.

The Time: 10:00 PM ET

The Broadcast: TV - MSGSN, SN1, TVAS2, CITY; Audio - The Devils Hockey Network

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils at the Calgary Flames (SBN Blog: Matchsticks and Gasoline)

The Song of the Night: SNFU is effectively dead with the passing of Mr. Chi Pig in 2020. SNFU did have one posthumous release. Five songs that were outtakes from the In the Meantime and In Between Time album were finished up by Marc Belke, other SNFU alumni, and help from Winnipeg band Propagandhi. They would be released in March 2021 in the A Blessing But With It A Curse EP. It’s pretty good and a far better way to remember Mr. Chi Pig and his voice than the last SNFU album, Never Trouble Trouble Until Trouble Troubles You. Among the five tracks, “What Will It Take To Break You?” is a standout.

The Rules: As usual for this site since the very beginning: Keep your comments clean (this means no swearing, don’t mask it, it’s not enough), respect your fellow Devils fan with no personal attacks, no illegal streams (this means no asking, no hints, no nothing about it) and please keep comments relevant to the game. Go Devils.
