Welcome to the end of the 2022 Preseason for the New Jersey Devils. The 2022-23 season is less than a week from tonight. This is the last chance for players to get into form and/or earn a role on the team. This is the last chance for coaches to experiment with lines and tactics with no cost to the standings. This is the last exhibition game. After tonight, the games will count.

The Song of the Night: Why did I do seven straight gamethreads with Norma Jean songs? Because their song, “Spearmint Revolt” from their latest album Deathrattle Sing for Me is good enough to make me want to go back a bit and learn more about them. It is such a good song and I encourage anyone that likes heavy music to listen to it.
