As we are in the midst of the doldrums of the NHL offseason for the New Jersey Devils, this is the kind of time where the posts are either looking deep into the past, looking ahead to the next season, and sometimes completely different. This fits into the third category. It is not actually about the Devils, but it is definitely about All About the Jersey. It is about you, the Devils fan, the reader of the site, the Person that makes up what I call the collective community, the People Who Matter. The fine people at SB Nation want your opinion.
SB Nation is conducting a set of community surveys across its many sites for future plans. I know that lots of places from restaurants to online vendors give out customer surveys. I know most do not even take them. As an example, look to the Community Poll for the 2021 All About the Jersey Top 25 Devils Under 25 list. Sure, it is intimidating to rank 51 players; but the point remains. Thousands read this site, but only a few hundred participate in the poll each year. However, those results do get used. The community survey does have a hand in what the 2021 Top 25 Under 25 list looks like. Similarly, other companies use the data from surveys to make decisions about what areas they need to address or improvements to make.
SB Nation is no different. They take a lot of pride in that so many communities have formed across the network for each team and sport that is represented. In order for them to better serve you, the internal research team wants to know how you interact at sites like this one. They want feedback from you about how you do - or do not - engage the blogs. Then they can report their findings to the other departments, who will then take action. I encourage you to take a few minutes out of your day to take the SB Nation Community Survey.
