The New Jersey Devils finally produced some good feelings this week after a long and arduous April. You don’t need to be reminded how brutal this month had been up until the series against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Devils won three of four (and could have easily won the fourth) as the Flyers somehow got worse goaltending than New Jersey did and the young Devils made their presence felt with scoring touch, speed and actually somewhat competent special teams. It was jarring to say the least.
We’re almost at the end of the season as the Devils enter their last full week of games. Let’s see if they can keep this up against some tougher teams in Boston and New York (the one that’s actually making the playoffs, not the one who thought it was going there as if beating the 29th place team in the NHL was any indicator of playoff readiness). There’s another Devils debut slated for tonight for AJ Greer as the Devils take on the revitalized Boston Bruins so the chips will be on the shoulders, especially with old friend Taylor Hall in the building.
Thanks as always for listening and Let’s Go Devils!
