Gamethread #51: New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers

The Week of Pity ends tonight where it began on Sunday: Philadelphia. The New Jersey Devils will end their penultimate full week of the season and their fourth straight game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Will the Devils ultimately have the last laugh? Or will there be more to be unhappy with in a season full of unhappiness? We will find out on the ice this evening.

The Song for the Evening: One of my favorite bands as a teenager was SNFU. Like a lot of punk bands in the 1980s, they played with a lot of energy. Unlike a lot of punk bands in the 1980s, they could actually play their instruments well and Mr. Chi Pig actually could sing. Mr. Chi Pig is no longer with us. And so the memories live on through classic tracks by the band. From their 1988 album, Better Than a Stick In The Eye, this is definitely one of them: “Tears.”
