The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (14-18-5) at the Pittsburgh Penguins (25-13-2). SBN blog: PensBurgh
The Time: 7:00 PM
The Broadcast: TV - MS+2, ESP+
The Devils are 2-1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins this season, though the Penguins have improved their season a bit since our last meeting. After our three game set in the beginning of March, they went on a 5 game winning streak before falling 7-5 to the Bruins and 8-4 to the Rangers. Last night however they found themselves back in the win column with a 5-2 victory over the Rangers due to a strong offensive showing from their offensive depth. The Penguins are getting scoring from all throughout their roster — Sidney Crosby didn’t touch the scoresheet once on 5 goals — which will make them much tougher to defend against if that keeps up into tonight’s game.
The Penguins:
Guentzel - Crosby - Rust
Zucker - McCann - Rodrigues
Lafferty - Gaudreau - Aston-Reese
Zohorna - Jankowski - Sceviour
Dumoulin - Letang
Matheson - Ceci
Pettersson - Marino
DeSmith
The Devils:
Kuokkanen - Hughes - Sharangovitch
Wood - Zacha - Bratt
Maltsev - McLeod - Thompson
Johnsson - Boqvist - Merkley
Smith - Severson
Kulikov - Subban
Murray - Vatanen
Blackwood
