Gamethread #50: New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers

New, comments

The New Jersey Devils will play their final home game against a rival tonight. As it is the third game in The Week of Pity, that rival is the Philadelphia Flyers. It is also the last game of what has been a terrible April for the Devils. Before the month ends, talk about the game here.

This was a great sight on Tuesday. Let’s see it again in some proper jerseys tonight!

The Week of Pity continues on to its third game, which just happens to be the third-to-last home game of this season. The New Jersey Devils are still playing the Philadelphia Flyers in a meaningless game outside of pride, professionalism, and the Devils’ second most hated rivalry. They did win on Tuesday. I think it would be wonderful if they could win a second consecutive game at home and against the Flyers. I hope the Devils and Flyers will oblige.

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils vs the Philadelphia Flyers (SBN Blog: Broad Street Hockey)

The Time: 7:00 PM ET

The Broadcasts: TV - MSG+, NBCSP,; Digital Audio - The Devils Hockey Network (Radio.com)

The Song for the Evening: The second album of ‘68 is Two Parts Viper. It is not as chaotic. It has its intense moments. It is another triumph from the musical mind of one (1) Josh Scogin. The appropriately titled “Without Any Words (Only Crying and Laughter)” is my choice for this game.

The Rules: The rules remain the rules regardless of this being the third game of The Week of Pity. Please keep your comments clean, legal (read: no streams, no links to streams, no asking for streams, no streams), and all about the games itself. Just as importantly, let’s respect each other. There’s no need for drama or being unwelcoming of your fellow Devils fan. This is a Gamethread, let’s focus on the game. Thank you for reading. Go Devils!
