The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (13-16-5) at the Washington Capitals (23-8-4). SBN blog: Japers Rink
The Time: 7:00 PM
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+, NHL
The Capitals are first place in the division with 50 points. The Devils are second to last with 31 points. The Capitals and Devils have played 4 times so far this season, and we have not won any of them. The good news is that the Capitals lost to the Islanders last night and will be coming into the second half of a back-to-back while the Devils have had several days’ rest, so we have that going for us.
That being said, I have minimal expectations for tonight’s game.
Let’s just get to the lines, shall we?
For Washington:
Ovechkin - Kuznetsov - Oshie
Sheary - Backstrom - Wilson
Vrana - Eller - Sprong
Hagelin - Dowd - Hathaway
Dillon - Carlson
Orlov - Shultz
Chara - Jensen
Samsonov
For New Jersey:
Bratt - Hughes - Palmieri
Kuokkanen - Zajac - Sharangovitch
Wood - Zacha - Mekley
Johnsson - McLeod - Boqvist
Smith - Severson
Kulikov - Subban
Murray - Vatanen
Blackwood
Your Take:
Will the Devils pull a Boston and finally break this one-team losing streak? Who do you predict will be our scorers tonight? Will the Devils manage to not suck for my first game back at the Rock since November of 2019? Your guess is as good as mine!
