A day after J.T. Miller made some … pointed … comments about the Canucks’ return from the team’s COVID-19 outbreak, the NHL postponed the Vancouver-Edmonton game set for Friday. Here’s Miller: “I hope people don’t take this the wrong way, I’m a super competitive guy. But this isn’t about hockey for our team. This is about the health and safety of our players, their family and their children. This isn’t about making the playoffs.” [ESPN]
The variant strain has impacted the Canucks differently and more severely than the previous CoVid cases around the league. Players are still sick. Concern for some they may not be able to return this season. NHL scheduling and rescheduling is recognizing day by day issues.
