NEWARK, NJ - Binghamton had one of their best periods of the season only to be taken away from them as the Devils contest with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms was suspended after 20 minutes of play tied at one apiece. However, the game was not canceled so look for a continuation at some point soon.
BDevils took the ice ready for the start of the second period only to be delayed with the bench empty for LV. The locker area appeared open with players ready to begin but was called back before they took the ice.
The official word was a Covid-19 positive test as a result. Unclear which team was affected;

BDevils (2-5-2-1) played a really good first period and was on their way to ending an eight-game losing streak one assumes on Wednesday at RWJ Barnabas Health Hockey House against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (6-2-1-0).
Rookie forward Graeme Clarke scored on the powerplay on a wicked snipe from inside the circle with the aid of a big screen in front by Nolan Foote for his second of the season as the Devils appeared to be very sound, obviously looked to have been worked on during practice sessions.
But the lead was short-lived as the Phantoms answered back with one of their own later in the period.
Cal O’Reilly would knot the contest at 1-1 also on the PP that beat Binghamton starter Gilles Senn, who ended up with nine saves. Netminder Alex Lyon finished with ten before the delay of the second period that caused the suspension.
