COVID-19 issues around the league:
NHL announces the Avalanche's games are postponed through Feb. 11. That's four teams -- New Jersey, Buffalo, Minnesota and Colorado -- that have been put on hiatus since Monday. Minnesota's last three games before being shut down were against Colorado, and a fourth was postponed.

In light of all the COVID issues the league is going through right now, some protocol changes are being made at arenas: [Sportsnet]
Two news items that popped out to me in this edition of Insider Trading: 1) The league is looking at pushing back this year’s draft, and 2) The league is looking into rapid COVID-19 testing. [TSN]
The National Women’s Hockey League has suspended the Isobel Cup playoffs because of COVID issues. The season has not been canceled, and it sounds like the league is still hoping to finish off the tournament at some point. [ESPN]
