The Devils endured tough back-to-back losses with their special teams mostly to blame.

No punches pulled here, this penalty kill is BAD. Almost historically bad. We talk about the penalty kill woes and how they impacted the weekend’s results. It will be very telling to see how the Devils bounce back this week against the same teams. This young team is dealing with the aftereffects of COVID and developing team chemistry so hopefully they are able to address at least some of these issues in their very limited practice time.

This weekend also saw the coronation of Nico Hischier as Devils captain and saw Travis Zajac participate in game number 1000. Congratulations to both of them as they take on more and more leadership responsibilities to lead this young team into the next great iteration of the Devils.

Let’s hope they limit the opposing opportunities and find ways to keep scoring. Let’s Go Devils!
