The Song for the Evening: Boston punk and hardcore has had a tradition almost as it has been in the New York metropolitan area. The first wave back in the early 1980s were led by bands such as Jerry’s Kids. Their 1983 album Is This My World? is remarkably fast paced even 38 years later. The opening track “I Don’t Belong” just hits the listener like a body check.
