Garden State of Hockey- Episode 84: Back in Action...Again

The Devils are finally healthy enough to get back to playing games.

With only five names remaining on the COVID list (and Bastian practicing today), the New Jersey Devils are back on track to resume game action, starting tomorrow against their rivals across the Hudson. After a harrowing two weeks, the list is down to Travis Zajac, Dmitry Kulikov, Nikita Gusev, Nathan Bastian and Nico Hischier.

Interestingly enough, Lindy Ruff had this to say about Hischier’s status:

Is he close to returning? Who is to say? Regardless, the Devils will be back in game action and have some ground to make up before they hit a difficult and compressed remaining schedule.

We also checked in with Binghamton and the GM situation in Pittsburgh because that was of interest to everyone, allegedly. Spoilers: Fitzgerald is not going there for the foreseeable future.

As usual, thank you for listening to Garden State of Hockey and reading All About the Jersey, even through the pauses. Covering this team is way more fun when other fans are involved.

Let’s Go Devils!
