The New Jersey Devils got some hard fought wins against the Seattle Kraken and the Buffalo Sabres while regressing into a familiar pattern against a familiar scourge in the Washington Capitals. The Devils also lost Jack Hughes to a dislocated shoulder and Jonathan Bernier to a lower body injury in this week so the next men up found a way to pull out a win against Buffalo. This week, they face old friend Blake Coleman and the Calgary flames before spending the weekend playing hockey in Pittsburgh and then in Newark against another historically challenging opponent for New Jersey, the Columbus Blue Jackets. Their depth will be tested as the schedule advances so hopefully we see progress from the players remaining until Hughes is able to dominate possession once again.
