Gamethread #6: New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia is New Jersey’s second major rivalry. For some fans, they are the main rivals. For most, they are, well, the second ones. Since they have not and will likely not win any Cups for this year and many, many more, they are a second-rate team. Hence, I call them the Second Rate Rivals.

The Song for the Evening: Plenty of thrash bands have picked up and carried on making great tunes since the genre’s revival about a decade earlier. One such band is Death Angel. “I Came for Blood” from their 2019 album Humancide is one such solid example.

The Rules: The rules remain the rules regardless of this being the first game of the season against an orange-based squad.
