Since recording, there has been news about the dates for the NHL’s Return to Play plan and some news about the extension of the current collective bargaining agreement but at the time of recording, Devils news was certainly light. That’s why we dipped back into the 2012 postseason and watched a game that heralded a momentum shift for this entire series as the Devils essentially choked out the Flyers in Philadelphia without having their best forward available. This was a gritty effort but a fun one to watch as the Devils controlled the game and kept the Flyers on their heels, contrary to the scoreline. Check it out here:
Next week’s episode will have any updates on concrete news we hear about the NHL but if that’s not enough, expect more glances back in time, specifically to one of the greatest goaltending contests in playoff history (spoiler: it is unfortunately a loss for our Devils, but an excellent game nonetheless).
We’re inching ever closer to relevant news but until then, we have plenty of history to share with you. As always, thanks for listening and Let’s Go Devils!
