We took this week to break down some of the frequently mentioned coaching candidates, such as Gerard Gallant, Peter Laviolette, John Stevens and of course, Alain Nasreddine. Spoiler alert: the answer should not be Stevens or Nasreddine but you can make that call for yourselves.

Additionally, we heavily referenced Larry Brooks’ Slap Shots column from a little bit ago. It’s here that he talks about the discord between Devils executives and confusion through the interview process so everything is just peachy, thank you very much. Hopefully there is some streamlining of the process or we may be in for another batch of long and arduous seasons.
