This was definitely a fun one to look back on, as we re-watched Game 7 of the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals, the triumphant win against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and learned some bizarre things along the way. Do yourselves a favor and check out the lineups for this game before remembering that this was almost 17 years ago. In a time where live hockey is paused, this experience served as a reminder of what the game used to look like and just how much this sport has evolved this century.
Heroes of this game include Mike Rupp, Jeff Friesen, Martin Brodeur and pretty much any defenseman on the Devils roster. Imagine that!

This, of course is the last great run that the Devils had and it was all made possible because of this razor thin series that ended with two overtime games. This is Game 7 oagainst the Florida Panthers after Travis Zajac sent the series back to Sunrise. Enjoy the watch and let us know what you remember feeling at this time. Feel free to share your experiences re-watching the game.
Let’s Go Devils!
