Today’s episode features a brief recap of the opening games for each of the six New Jersey Devils prospects participating in the World Junior Championship. After that, we dive deeper into this baseball-style series-based NHL schedule and its implications for the Devils. We’re going to be seeing a whole lot of the Washington Capitals in a very short time around a third of the way into the season so brace yourselves.
We also congratulate Blackwood and the Devils on that stellar contract and mourn the absence of Jesper Bratt for now. This episode was recorded before the Nico Hischier injury news but the team seems to believe that that injury is nothing too serious. Let’s hope they’re right because if not, this 56-game gauntlet will become that much more difficult.
Thanks as always for listening and for your feedback. I hope everyone is as excited as we are for Devils hockey to finally return via training camp getting underway tomorrow!
