Our prospects list concludes with some predictable entries.

A long journey’s end bring us to the top five Devils prospects under 25 and these five were pretty predictable once Alexander Holtz placed 6th. Ty Smith, Jesper Bratt, MacKenzie Blackwood, Jack Hughes, and Nico Hischier concluded our list and with good reasons for each of them. You can read about those reasons and more in this corresponding post.

We’ve also received some great questions that we didn’t have time for in this episode but we are planning to address as standalone episodes entirely based on their content. It seems the NHL and NHLPA have stalled in their talks to bring back the league so we’ll need comments and questions from you to make sure we still have plenty of Devils concepts we can discuss while the current team waits for the go-ahead to start training camp officially. We are also going to be talking through John’s recent pieces on interpreting advanced stats so that those numbers can become more palpable and accessible if you are not already familiar with the metrics. There’s no one correct way to evaluate talent or team success but advanced stats go a long way in understanding processes and players that are more likely to succeed.

Stay safe, stay warm, stay healthy, and stay fans of our New Jersey Devils. Given this prospects list, better times are ahead for the team from the Garden State.
