Garden State of Hockey- Episode 66: Fitz Starts Dealing

Fitzgerald follows up a solid draft with a nice start to the free agency period.

Chicago Blackhawks v Vegas Golden Knights - Game Five

Tom Fitzgerald has been making moves to improve the Devils, so in terms of qualifications at GM, he’s building them. The first was acquiring Ryan Murray on the eve of free agency, which he followed up on by signing Corey Crawford to a reasonable deal and subsequently, he jettisoned Joey Anderson to bring in Andreas Johnsson. Finally, he most recently signed Scott Wedgewood, Stanley Cup Champion, back to the organization.

John took a look at all of these moves in these summaries:

Ryan Murray

Corey Crawford

Andreas Johnsson

Scott Wedgewood

There’s plenty of time left for Fitzgerald to make additional moves, so what do you think the Devils should do next? What players should the Devils pursue? Let us know in the comments.

As always, thanks for listening and Let’s Go Devils!
