Our good friend Jack Hughes had two points as Team USA beat Team Latvia 7-1 on Tuesday. He’s still pretty good. [NHL]
Assuming there are no scoring changes, Jack Hughes now has the second-most points by an American in U18 world championships history. He passed Clayton Keller. Phil Kessel's record is two points away.

We got two Game 7s on Tuesday night.
In the first, the Bruins eliminated the Maple Leafs by a final score of 5-1. Cue a flood of “the playoff format is bad” takes coming from Toronto. [Sportsnet]
And then, we got a THE GAME. Down 3-0 in the third period to the Golden Knights, the Sharks were awarded a five-minute power play. They scored four goals on that penalty. Vegas would score to tie it up and get it overtime, but San Jose came away with the win. What a game. [Sportsnet]
Here’s the play that gave the Sharks a five-minute power play. Was the call justified? An overreaction?
