The Song for the Evening: August Burns Red is one of the more consistently heavy and outstanding bands of the metalcore genre. I’m a fan. I link to their songs a lot because they’re good heavy songs. Their 2007 album Messengers has become a classic of the genre and it opens with “The Truth of a Liar,” which is fully worth your time if you’re into this kind of music.
