Our Favorite Team will be wearing their vintage jerseys tonight. Great.

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils vs. the Washington Capitals (SBN Blog: Japers’ Rink)

The Time: 7:00 PM ET

The Broadcasts: TV - MSG+, ESPN+, NBCSWA; Digital Audio - The Devils Hockey Network

The Song for the Evening: Dag Nasty’s Can I Say is a seminal album for those into that DC punk / harDCore / melodic hardcore sound that laid down the roots for what emo and post-hardcore would become. The first album I picked up of Dag Nasty’s was their second album, Wig Out at Denko’s, which is where the band took a different turn with vocalist Peter Cortner and bassist Doug Carrion. The first track was not just a clear sign of their new direction but it was a song that made me want more of Dag Nasty. It is “The Godfather.”

The Rules: The rules remain the rules regardless of whether the Devils are wearing their 1980s-style jerseys that has been associated with a lot of losses. Please keep your comments clean, legal (read: no streams, no links to streams, no asking for streams, no streams), and all about the games itself. Just as importantly, let’s respect each other. There’s no need for drama or being unwelcoming of your fellow Devils fan. This is a gamethread, let’s focus on the game. Thank you for reading. Go Devils!
