It finally happened. Late Monday afternoon, Taylor Hall was traded from the New Jersey Devils (alongisde Blake Speers) to the Arizona Coyotes for three prospects and two draft picks of value that is yet to be fully determined. We spent today’s podcast discussing the previous week in games, the return for Hall, the future going forward without him and of course, wrapped with a thank you to one of the most dynamic players ever to put on the NJ red and black.
Brian gave more details and a breakdown of the trade and John put together a legacy piece on Hall’s time in New Jersey and his impact on the Garden State (this was pre-trade). Chris Ryan took a closer look at the return over at NJ.com.
The saga is finally laid to rest and Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier have been given the reins. The Devils move on to the future while either rooting for Arizona to re-sign Hall or win a playoff round (or better yet, both).
