Garden State of Hockey- AAtJ Podcast Episode 14: Baby Steps

A positive week led to a rare shootout win, so some game recaps and talk about Taylor Hall and his contract situation follow.

As this was recorded Monday night before yesterday’s shootout win against the Winnipeg Jets (does this mean we’re in the Upside Down?), the amazing vibes of that win were not included in this episode, but a 1-0-2 week had us feeling positive. We talked about what contributed to the big road win in Carolina and looked ahead to the maybe-not-so-much-of-a-nightmare given the shootout win Western Canada trip.

The vultures around the league are circling for Taylor Hall and I’ll spare you the many links that have him going anywhere in the league but Hall clarified his comments about fan booing back in New Jersey:

Big things ride on the rest of this trip, especially since Hall’s agent Darren Ferris is said to be meeting with Ray Shero in Calgary on Thursday. Fingers crossed that this Canadian media frenzy doesn’t absorb everyone’s soul.

Finally, welcome to New Jersey/Binghamton, Louis Domingue! Looking forward to that Eddie Lack style midseason win that makes the difference in getting to the postseason.

As always, feel free to tweet us at @AAtJerseyBlog or comment on this post with any suggestions.
