Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you and yours have/are enjoying the holiday. Our Favorite Team is working this evening and hoping to leave Quebec with another win this month. Forget Boston-Our Hated Rivals; this is the real NHL Thanksgiving Showdown.
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils at the Montreal Canadiens (SBN Blog: Eyes on the Prize)
The Time: 7:30 PM ET
The Broadcasts: TV - MSG+, SN, RDS, NHL Network; Digital Audio - The Devils Hockey Network.
The Song for the Evening: I am not a fan of black metal. I find that so much of it is uninteresting and more of a pain to listen to despite claims of heaviness. Recently, I happened upon a group that transcends black metal while clearly being rooted in that genre. After all, they call their music transcendental black metal. With glitches, harmonies, harps, what sounds like a xylophone, and rolling beats, this is an eight-minute epic that blew my mind the first time I heard it - and most of the other times I heard it. From their recent album H.A.Q.Q., this is “God of Love” by Liturgy. I do not know much about Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, but this Triple H clearly a cerebral musician.
The Rules: The rules remain the rules regardless that it is Thanksgiving and the Devils are playing on it. Please keep your comments clean, legal (read: no streams, no links to streams, no asking for streams, no streams), and all about the games itself. Just as importantly, let’s respect each other. There’s no need for drama or being unwelcoming of your fellow Devils fan. This is a gamethread, let’s focus on the game. Thank you for reading. Go Devils!
