Boy, oh boy. After hoping to not have another disastrous week in last week’s podcast, the Devils went right back out there and laid some real stinkers. John summed up the latest embarrassment here and suddenly, the Devils have become a national story for all the wrong reasons. Sean McIndoe groups their (and others’) tough starts over at the Athletic while despite the pleas of Devils twitter, TSN reports that no change in the head coaching situation is imminent so please react accordingly.
The Devils came up with this solution this morning so it didn’t make it into the podcast but it’s worth discussing regardless:

Assistant General Manager Tom Fitzgerald will join John Hynes’ staff today and serve in an assistant coach capacity.
