Gamethread #4: New Jersey Devils vs. Edmonton Oilers

After a game in Philly last night, the New Jersey Devils have a chance to win their first home game this season. They must beat Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers to do it. Will they? Talk about it as it happens in this post.

Our Favorite Team returns to the Rock with a shot at redemption after a heartbreakingly disappointing home opener. To succeed, they must quell Connor McDavid and the other players around him.

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils vs. the Edmonton Oilers (SBN Blog: The Copper & Blue)

The Time: 7:00 PM ET

The Broadcasts: TV - MSG+; Digital Audio - The Devils Hockey Network.

The Song for the Night: The Big Four of Thrash has only one member from the East Coast: the legendary Anthrax. Their 1987 album Among the Living is a classic of the genre. Among the many great tunes on that one is the powerful “Caught in a Mosh.”

The Rules: The rules remain the rules even when the Fighting McDavids are in town. Please keep your comments clean, legal (read: no streams, no links to streams, no asking for streams, no streams), and all about the games itself. Just as importantly, let’s respect each other. There’s no need for drama or being unwelcoming of your fellow Devils fan. This is a gamethread, let’s focus on the game. Thank you for reading. Go Devils!
