All About the Jersey is Hiring a Game Previewer and Recapper

All About the Jersey is hiring a writer to preview and recap Devils games. If this piques your interest and it is something you would like to do for the site, then read on to find out if it is the right opportunity for you.

This writer will be responsible for writing game previews and recaps that will be assigned and posted at the direction of the managing editor. Here are examples of a preview and a recap that should give you an idea of what we’re looking for in general.

Our ideal candidates for this role will:

• Be a passionate Devils fan and deeply invested in the team. This is a blog by Devils fans, for Devils fans. This is a mission statement of what AAtJ is all about.
• Be familiar with and enjoy participating in the AAtJ community. It is an inclusive site for all Devils fans and as such, it is recommended that you are not exclusive to the fans.
• Be willing to adhere to the rules of the site. Keep your writing clean, be respectful of all members of our community, and understand that the posts shall be on topic (the Devils).
• Be self-starters and comfortable working remotely as part of a team.
• Be reliable and follow through on commitments, and communicate with the managing editor in a timely fashion if a commitment cannot be met.
• Be willing to write under your name.
• Previous writing experience is strongly preferred.

This is a remote, part-time, contract role compensated with a monthly stipend.
