The Game: New Jersey Devils vs. the New York Islanders (SBNation: Lighthouse Hockey)
The Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Broadcast: MSG, MSG+
Part three of the preseason starts now, with the Devils looking to see which players can make the cut for the team.
Recent Cuts: 5 players were cut from the training camp roster. As is expected at such an early point in the season, none of them were surprises. Recent draft picks Mitchell Hoelscher and Xavier Bernard were sent to the juniors, while Ryan Schmelzer and Tariq Hammond were reassigned to the AHL. Colton Phinney was cut from his PTO. Hoelscher and Bernard were unsigned draft picks, while Schmelzer and Hammond were only on AHL contracts. Phinney was in camp purely as an extra body.
The Lineup: As of 10:17 PM, absolutely nothing has been revealed.
As soon as we know, we’ll post. It sounds like the players don’t even know who’s playing yet. https://t.co/yHSONZjw4s
