New Jersey Devils re-sign Brian Strait

Brian Strait will remain in the Devils organisation after signing a new two-way contract.

The New Jersey Devils have re-signed defenseman Brian Strait to a two-way, two-year contract worth $675k AAV with $650k in 18-19 and $700k in 19-20.

Brian Strait spent the entire 2017-18 season in the AHL with the Binghamton Devils. Strait served as an assistant captain, playing in 61 games scoring three goals and adding five helpers. Across his AHL career Strait has 62 points in 339 games for Wilkes-Barre, Manitoba and Binghamton. His points per game in the NHL slightly drop a little with 29 points in 187 games with time spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins (12 games), New York Islanders (170 games) and Winnipeg Jets (5 games).
