Playoffs Preview: Devils at Lightning

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Tampa Bay Lightning at New Jersey Devils
It’s all or nothing for the Devils, as a loss means elimination. Here’s the preview.
Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (1-3) at the Tampa Bay Lightning (3-1). SBN Blog: Raw Charge.

The Time: 3:00 PM EST

The Broadcast: TV - NBC

The Last Game: The Lightning beat the Devils 3-1. The Lightning outplayed the Devils shot-wise and opportunity-wise. Cory Schneider was the reason the Devils were able to stay in the game. It’s officially all-or-nothing now, and a loss means the end of the season. It’s time for the Devils to get on track, and beat this deep, talented Tampa Bay team. If the Devils play hard, and tough, it is possible to beat this team.

Reports: It is unknown if Sami Vatanen is playing in game five, which would be a killer. He is possibly the Devils most valuable defenseman, yet lines are unknown as of now.

Thoughts: I don’t know what to expect. I’d love it if Jesper Bratt would play, because his puck skills are insanely good. Furthermore, I personally think Michael Grabner should play as well, in order to use his speed. Again, these might not be the most effective players, but change is definitely needed.

Your Thoughts?: What do you think? Who should play? Who do you think will win? Will the Devils survive longer? Let me know in the comments below, and take care.
