Free Youth Hockey in Newark and Montclair

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to make sure and pass along that there is a free youth hockey program in Newark and Montclair. Some of you may have heard of the organization before. It is called Hockey in New Jersey, and it is a very well run organization.

Hockey gear is free. Ice time is free. And the coaches are top notch. Additionally, your kids do not need to have experience to be in the program. They will teach them to skate if they don't know how, and it's actually a great way to learn as they will be in full gear if they fall.

Here is the link if you or someone you know would like to sign up: http://www.hockeyinnj.com/

As HNJ is partnered with the New Jersey Devils, from time to time your kids will get an opportunity to be in clinics with current and former members of the team, as well as practice at Barnabas Health Hockey House, or even at The Rock rink.

Recently, when the Women's Hockey Team visited Prudential Center this Tuesday, the Devils and Hockey in New Jersey took that opportunity to have the girls in the program meet the championship team:

This is just one of the great things they do apart from teaching hockey skills.

I hope you don't mind me sharing this info on here. Hockey can be an expensive sport so this is a great opportunity to try it for free if you live in Newark or Montclair. My son is in the program, and I cannot recommend Hockey in New Jersey enough.

Also, if you feel generous, you can always donate equipment or volunteer. Money also works, and you can give here as well: https://www.youcaring.com/hockeyinnewjersey-1024967

Thanks, and enjoy!
