There is a bit of an appetite for hockey in Seattle: Fans blazed past the goal of 10,000 season-ticket deposits within 12 minutes of the opening of Thursday’s sale. About 25,000 down payments were collected in the first hour. [TSN]

Predators GM David Poile set the NHL record for wins by a general manager at 1,320 on Thursday. Poile has been Nashville’s GM since the team’s inaugural season in 1998-99. [NHL]
