The Devils snapped their four-game losing streak with a resilient 5-4 shootout win over the Flyers on Tuesday night. We held our collective breaths as Taylor Hall missed some time after he took a tumble into the boards on a hit from, who else, Radko Gudas. Taylor returned, though, to send the game to overtime, and you can breathe now. [The Record] [NJ.com]

With Taylor’s play as of late and this season as a whole, the question has to be asked: Taylor Hall, Hart Trophy candidate?
Forwards usually don't win Hart without being in top 2 in points or goals. Dating back to 1960, only exceptions were Messier (91-92) & Clarke (74-75). Both were 6th in points.

But if injured MacKinnon is still a Hart candidate, then Hall is too. Only 2 pts/2 games difference.
