The Song for the Evening: Let’s go with a cover by NoMeansNo. This is their version of The Residents’ “Would We Be Alive.” This is from the extended play (EP) In the Fishtank 1 as opposed to the Would We Be Alive EP. This one was more readily available and there’s more of a story behind that series. The In the Fishtank series of EPs is from a Netherlands record label called De Konkurrent. They would take a band that’s currently touring the country, give them some time in the studio, record some songs, and release an EP. NoMeansNo did it first. There were 14 others.

The Rules: The rules remain the rules even when the game is on and you are wondering what being alive really means.
