The Matchup: New Jersey Devils (4-1-0) vs. the Philadelphia Flyers (3-4-0 SBNation; Broadstreet Hockey)

The Time: 1:00 PM EST

The Broadcast: MSG+

Loss of the Streak: Palmieri struggled, not scoring a goal for the first game of the season. Joking aside, he did record an assist, extending his point streak another game. Him, Hall and Hischier are the best and most exciting line to watch. They are all dynamic players, who can carry a team to victory. If this line is on fire, the Devils can win anything.

Scoreless Zacha: There are only three players with zero points on the year. One is Drew Stafford. Another is John Quenneville, who has been sent down. And the third is Zacha. The first two don’t concern me, as they are players who (probably) owned the last two roster sports. However, Pavel Zacha was a player who was expected to take the next step, and while his play has looked incredible at the time, he is still held scoreless. Hopefully he can take advantage, and score a goal in this game.

Expected Changes: For the Devils, Lovejoy and Zajac are out. Lines aren’t up now as of the night before, but this will be updated as more information gets revealed.

Best Flyers: The Usual suspects lead the team, with Voracek, Simmonds and Giroux leading the team. Hagg and Gudas lead defensemen in points, which is very surprising. The Devils can beat this team, they just need to play like they did in the first games.
