New Jersey Devils Podcast Talking Red Episode #257 - The Halfway Point

David Sarch and I (CJ) discuss the state of the Devils at the halfway point — the good, the bad, and the ugly (Mike Stromberg).

The Devils are at the halfway point in the season, which means it’s time for a Talking Red retrospective. David and I (CJ Turtoro) reflect on the good things that have gotten the Devils to this point like forward depth, Taylor Hall, and Cory Schneider. We also touch on things we’d like to see improve moving forward including Pavel Zacha’s production, and Hynes’s lineup decisions with regards to defenders, and too conservative OT tactices. We address the performance of many individual players including Sami Vatanen, Steve Santini, Miles Wood, and others. And we opine that the hockey gods forgive us for associating with Mike Stromberg who has irreparably damaged the Devils with his optimism.
