Gibbons recorded 16 goals and 20 assists in 72 outings for Albany last season and a single goal in four post-season action against the Toronto Marlies. This will be Gibbons’ seventh season in the AHL as the left winger also played in 66 NHL games (41 with Pittsburgh 2013-’14, 25 with Columbus 2014-’15).
At 5’ 8” 170 lbs he plays the role of a pest as Binghamton fans will remember during his playing days for rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from 2011-’14. This time, he’s now on our side giving fans something to cheer about as he will provide that valuable veteran leadership in the locker room once again in 2017-’18.
