After a successful week in which the Devils took seven out of eight points coming out of the NHL All-Star Break, David and I (Mike) discussed where the Devils stand as they head into another extended hiatus. They talked the still-nonsensical parity in the Eastern Conference and how the Devils should be approaching the trade deadline with the team back within three points of the playoffs. They also wondered what the Buffalo Sabres’ beat’s issue is with the Devils and handed out the coveted Damon Severson of the Week Award to a player who has recently hit his stride.
