The Devils claimed a statement win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. It was a 4-1 win, which extended the team’s winning streak to four games. [Fire and Ice] [NJ.com]

I should note here that Brian Boyle and Kyle Palmieri left that game, apparently with injuries. It’s unclear what those injuries were or the extent of them.

In that game Steven Santini recorded his first NHL fight. That scrap was against Chicago’s John Hayden … who was a groomsman in Santini’s wedding this summer. [NJ.com]

The 2018 World Junior Championship games begin Tuesday in Buffalo. Here’s the full schedule: [NHL]

In that tournament, we’re likely to see some impressive things from Rasmus Dahlin, who’s projected to go first overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. The Devils will likely (and hopefully?) not have a shot to grab the young, talented defenseman, but here’s an interesting profile on him: [Sportsnet]
