I recently read an article on Blueshift banter of all places that actually mentioned another article this one from silver seven about team only having their drafted players and not allowed to have free agents in, also those players still have to be active this isn't an all time team.
for this exercise i used hockeydb new jersey devils draft history and tried my very best to come up with a team from the players we drafted.
here's what i came up with for the Devils, if you have a better idea please feel free to comment. these combinations aren't by top lines. they are just players playing ( i believe their position) i would expect them to be shuffled up and down to be more potent if such a thing can be achieved with this lineup.
Nick Palmieri- Gionta - Zacha
MIN:LW#11 - Zajac - Nicklas Bergfors
Reid Boucher- Adam Henrique - Matt Halischuk
Elias - Josefson - Mattheau
Serverson - Paul Martin
Mark Fayne - Gelinas
Adam Larsson - John Merrill
Mackenzie blackwood - Scott wedgwood
we're not looking good at all here, Our D could be okish Paul Martin is still doing well ( i Believe) Serverson has shown promises in the past (distant past). Larsson as well all know is a stud. our goaltending situation isn't good. Blackwood has shown amazing performances in his very short stint but could he hold on for the season?
your thoughts: what lineup and players would you have placed in there instead? (heads up Cam Jansen and PL3 are available still)
thank you all for reading.
