John Quenneville has a goal, assist, and -1 after 2 games of play in Brandon's Quarterfinals series against Edmonton. Brandon currently trails the series 2-0.

Ryan Rehill had 6 PIM in Kamloops' opening game in the Quarterfinals against Kelowna. He then added 2 goals in game 2. Kamloops and Kelowna are currently tied in the series 1-1.

Brandon Baddock helped Edmonton win a tiebreaker game 6-4 over Medicine Hat to qualify for the playoffs with a goal and +1 last Tuesday. So far in the series against Brandon he has 2 goals, 4 PIM, and a +1. Edmonton is leading the series 2-0.

Alex Kerfoot was a -1 with 1 shot and won 2/13 faceoffs in Harvard's loss to Boston College in the Northeast Region Semifinal. He finishes the season with 4 goals, 30 assists, 16 PIM, +11, and 43.90 FO%. He led Harvard in assists and was 2nd in points. His 0.91 assists per game rate was 6th in the country.

Boston College won the Northeast Region of the tournament by defeating Harvard and Minnesota Duluth. They have secured a Frozen Four spot and will take on Quinnipiac on April 7 at 5 PM on ESPN2. Steve Santini was a +1 with 2 PIM on the week. Miles Wood had an assist, 2 PIM, -2, and 7 shots on the week. JD Dudek played in both games but didn't do anything of note.

Albany went 1-2 last week but earned 3 out of a possible 6 points. They are still 2nd in the North Division with 88 points after 66 games. They have an all situation PDO of 100.75%. Albany's 19.62 PP% ranks 7th in the AHL while their 88.00 PK% ranks 2nd.

Injury Update: Blake Coleman (left shoulder), Dan Kelly (lower body), Chris McKelvie (upper body), Ryan Kujawinski (lower body), and Nick Lappin (upper body) are sidelined.

Transactions: It was a busy week for Albany as they are depleted due to injuries and call ups. C Gunnar Hughes was signed to a PTO on 3/22 and released from it yesterday. RW Justin Crandall was signed to a PTO on 3/23. Blake Pietila was called up to New Jersey on 3/23. Seth Helgeson was officially sent back and called up a few times during the week. D Mathieu Brodeur was signed to a PTO on 3/25 and released from it yesterday. RW Alexandre Carrier was once again signed to a PTO on 3/25. RW Trevor Mingoia was signed to an ATO yesterday after completing his NCAA career with Providence College.

Tuesday 3/22: Albany defeated Springfield 4-1. Brandon Burlon, Ben Johnson, Jim O'Brien, and Matt Lorito had the goals for Albany. Brian O'Neill and Paul Thompson had 2 assists each. Saturday 3/26: Albany lost to Hershey 3-2 (SO). Corbin McPherson and Jim O'Brien had the goals for the Devils. Max Novak, Paul Geiger, Reece Scarlett, and Ben Johnson had an assist each. Brian O'Neill had 5 shots as the Devils outshot the Bears 28-23. Ken Appleby made 21 saves in the game and stopped 3 of 5 shooters in the shootout. Albany went 0/4 on the PP and 2/2 on the PK. Another Try Out: While the Devils have used a few ECHL call ups on PTO's to get by recently, they did add a new professional player on an ATO. Albany signed RW Trevor Mingoia yesterday out of Providence College. Mingoia originally began his NCAA career at Union College back in 2011-12. He spent 2012-13 with Tri-City in the USHL so he would be eligibile to transfer to Providence where he would spend the past 3 years. He finished his NCAA career with 37 goals and 52 assists in 120 games. He was a part of Providence's 2014-15 NCAA Championship team.

Coming Up: Albany will take on Hartford tonight, Binghamton on Friday, Springfield on Saturday, and Binghamton on Sunday.

Prospect of the Week

I'm going to go with Pavel Zacha for this week's honors. He's produced 3 assists over the course of Sarnia's first 2 games of the series against Sault Ste. Marie. He's been active with 7 shots and has won 56.25% of his faceoffs. He's been doing his part to keep Sarnia in the series.

ADevil of the Week

Albany has been getting by on a full team effort lately so it's difficult to single out just one player. This week I'll go with Ben Johnson after he scored in 2 straight games and added an assist in a 3rd. He's found himself a regular in the line up lately due to call ups and injuries and so far has taken advantage of the opportunity.
